It was definitely a case of back to school this week for 3 of our new staff members as they returned to Terra Nova, their former school. We are delighted that TN holds such a special place in their hearts that they have chosen to come back as employees and share the many life skills they learnt at school within their new roles.
Mrs Emma Kidston (TN 1990-1995) joined us in the Summer and is our new HR Manager & Clerk to the Governors, she will also work in Alumni Relations. Emma told us that she loved her time as a pupil at TN and has such happy memories, particularly of playing in the gorgeous grounds and of all the events the school held. She made friends for life whilst a pupil and is so excited to be back, Emma's daughter has also joined TN as a pupil this week, creating a generational bond. Miss Amelia Hark (TN 2004- 2008) has joined our Humanities team and will be teaching History, Religious Studies and her biggest passion, Geography. Amelia told us her favourite memories from her time at TN are the drama productions she performed in. Additionally to this Miss Hark always loved taking part in the Alderley Edge Festival for Speech and Drama and the encouragement behind this from the Performing Arts faculty was amazing. We have also welcomed Miss Chessie Harris (TN 2006- 2016) as one of our GAP students. Chessie will be a member of our boarding community as well as supporting our sports staff. Similarly to Amelia, Chessie also thoroughly enjoyed the music events such as the Alderley Edge Festival, plus she loved the sporting atmosphere and the opportunity for some healthy competition when it came to Terra Nova house events. We would like to extend a warm welcome to Emma, Amelia and Chessie. It is great to have you back at Terra Nova!
