Capesthorne: House Winners 2022

During Friday morning’s assembly we announced the House who has earned the most house points throughout the current academic year. It has been a wild and intense race as always, with houses overtaking each other throughout the year making it almost impossible to predict our winners. However, as the end of the Summer Term is almost upon us, all four of our school houses have now crossed the finish line. In fourth place is Gawsworth with 520 points, then Tatton take third place with 532 points and in second place with 542 points we have Dunham. Which means, our winning house of this academic year is Capesthorne with an incredible 588 points! The pupils and teachers of Capesthorne enjoyed a delicious barbeque and some time off timetable to enjoy a bouncy castle and inflatable obstacle course with their yellow peers!

We asked Miss Deighton for further information and so we have some more house point related fun to announce.

The Year group with the most points earned this year was; Year 3 with an outstanding 6,484 points! Great work Year 3!

The teacher who gave out the most house points this year was, Miss Gibbs! Who awarded a total of 3,189 points throughout the year!

Finally, the pupil who received the most points in the entire school this year was… Jonty G! Jonty has been awarded 332 points throughout the school year! Well done Jonty, an incredible effort throughout the year, proving that hard work and determination certainly pays off!

A huge well done to Capesthorne, but also to all of our pupils for the hard work that they put into everything they do. At Terra Nova, it is vital that our pupils learn and value that success does not come with working hard alone, but also by honouring our school virtues; resilience, open mindedness, kindness, discipline and confidence. These virtues are important because they will help our pupils to be the best version of themselves, not just during their time at Terra Nova but throughout their lives.
