Awards Assembly & Sports Awards

This morning was our final Achievement & Awards assembly of the year. This term achievement awards focussed on effort in Performing Arts, English, Maths and Computer Science. The virtue award for this term was Kindness. Before the ceremony we were treated to a musical performance from Emma J, who wonderfully played ‘Allegro’ on violin and a musical interval part way through as Camilla B-B sang a beautiful rendition of ‘Home’ from Beauty and the Beast.

Following on from the achievement awards there was an abundance of Sports awards to give out, starting with our teams who have earned trophies this year:

  • Ellesmere U11 Boys Football Champions

  • Terra Nova U11 Girls Hockey Plate Winners

  • IAPS Area 7 U11 Boys Cross Country Champions

  • ISFA U11 Girls North Region Football Champions

  • Terra Nova U13 Boys Football Tournament Winners

  • St David’s Shield Air Rifle Champions

  • Mostyn Cup Air Rifle Champions

Those who received our Player’s Player Award were chosen by their fellow pupils for outstanding performance, unquestionable sportsmanship, supportive behaviours and leadership characteristics. The pupils who received this award were; Charlie W, Oliver T, Joel A, Jai S, Hector W, Bella C, Eva G, Eliza S, Eva Hayes, Mia W and Darcey C.

Our TNS Award was awarded by our coaches for outstanding attitude towards improvement and demonstrating the school’s core values. The pupils awarded the TNS Award were; Sammy H, Billy B, James I, Jack N, Jenson B, Felix H, Eleanor M, India L, India M, Harriet H, Molly L and Eliza K.

2022 Equestrian of the Year was awarded to Natasha G, who performed consistently across the season and achieved 1st and 3rd in Arena everything and qualified for the NSEA National Finals at Hickstead, finishing 34 out of 180 competitors.

2022 Tennis Player of the Year was awarded to Oscar R, who was a key member of the U13 tennis team and who has achieved LTA Schools Competition County Finalists.

2022 Marksperson of the Year has been awarded to Benjamin K, a fantastic member of the shooting team that retained the St David’s Cup and who won Moryston Cup National Champions.

2022 Runner of the Year has been awarded to Emma K, who won at St Margrets and was on the Podium every race! She has also Qualified for Nationals in 1500m.

2022 Athlete of the Year is awarded to Finton W, who broke 4 school records recently on Sports Day and qualified for the National Athletics Championship in two events.

Finally, our Victor & Victrix Ludorum of the school year was awarded to two pupils to two of our Junior pupils and two of our Senior pupils. In our Juniors, Henry D has been awarded Junior Victor Ludorum alongside Sophia D who has been awarded Victrix Ludorum. In our Seniors Hudson H has been awarded Senior Victor Ludorum alongside Bella C who has been awarded Victrix Ludorum.
