The whole school singing along to ‘Count On Me’ accompanied by Mr Westall on the piano was a lovely way to begin this week’s assembly and bring everyone together.
A section of the assembly was dedicated to the art of storytelling, pupils watched a clip of author ‘Michael Rosen’ and learnt to identify the skills that made his storytelling into such a powerful performance. Mr Campbell encouraged pupils to think about how they could apply these skills to their own storytelling. However our Year 2 pupils have already been developing their storytelling! We can see in this video pupils displaying some of the points raised in assembly, such as; confidence, expression, stressing certain words and more!
Following this an array of pupils throughout different year groups presented their classes ideas for a badge to contribute to our upcoming scheme, Terra Nova Explorers. Pupils have been super creative and thought up some fantastic ideas and we cannot wait to share the final selection.
Arabella and Sebastian read their match reports for the first time, informing everyone of the brilliant performances displayed throughout the week in both netball and rugby. Well done to all those who represented Terra Nova in fixtures this week.
The assembly concluded with a huge number of pupils receiving their bronze certificates. Congratulations to everyone who has continued to work hard earning themselves such a substantial amount of house points.
