Terra Nova School is delighted to have a number of Gap students working at the school each year. The role of a “Gappie” is vital to prep school life. As young adults, the Gappies not only support the teachers in the classrooms and on the playing fields but are integral to the boarding side of life supporting our full and flexi boarders pastorally. We are pleased to introduce this year’s Gap students below:
Chessie, a former pupil of Terra Nova, joins us from Shrewsbury School, where she captained both the Running and Athletics teams. Chessie plans to read Real Estate at Reading University and aims to have a career in property and estate management. Chessie is thrilled to return to Terra Nova after a hiatus of 5 years and is excited to work with our wonderful pupils, in particular supporting the Performing Arts aspect of school life, specifically school productions where Chessie’s strengths in singing and saxophone playing are bound to be utilised!
Alfie also joins us from Shrewsbury School and plans to read Sociology and Media next year at University. Alfie was Captain of the Athletics team at Shrewsbury and is passionate about all sports but particularly football! Whilst working at Terra Nova, Alfie is most excited about supporting all of the sports Terra Nova offers its pupils, irrespective of the weather!
Anna joins us from Sedbergh School, where she was the Captain of the Netball team. Like Alfie and Chessie, Anna also plans to go to University next year to read Psychology and Business, either at Edinburgh University or St Andrews. Horse riding and cooking are Anna’s favourite pastimes outside of school life but whilst at Terra Nova, Anna is looking forward to immersing herself in both the academics and the sporting aspects of school life.
