Junior Preparatory Wraparound care

The school is very proud of the varied and extensive programme of wraparound care that is on offer reflecting the different requirements of children in Pre-School through to the senior years. The array of after school clubs, activities and supper sittings not only enables the children to be further immersed in subjects, sports and activities but also means that the school is able to support working parents or families with different aged siblings in collecting their children at one time.

We strive for the school to be an extension and support of pupils’ homes. Children are welcome to arrive at school from 7.30am for breakfast and stay for supper, served at 6pm.

After School Clubs 4 - 5pm

For the Junior Prep School children there are a number of clubs (some free and some paid for) that run from 4pm – 5pm. There are delivered by the teachers. Just a few examples of these clubs are: Construction Club, Origami Club, Drama Club and Football and Ballet Clubs. These are alternatives to homework club or “prep” which is available 3 x a week.

Year 1&2 After School Care 4.00pm - 6pm

For Years 1&2 pupils, as an alternative to the clubs, there is after school care provided in the Pre School building led by Pre School teachers that runs from 4pm-6pm. The staff are therefore familiar to the children. At 5pm the children are taken for a hot supper in the dining room and the children can be looked after up until 6pm.

Year 3&4 After School Care 5.00pm - 6pm

Year 3&4 pupils are welcome to finish their club and then join the senior children in homework club or “Prep” until 6pm. Supper is available free of charge at 6pm. Children from Year 3 upwards are also able to stay at school – “board” for the night.

Holiday Clubs

Childcare is provided by the same teaching staff that provide the after school care.
