To conclude our Spring term learning, Year 3 went for a trip up into the hills and then under the ground. The students had to muster all their bravery in Speedwell Cavern where we boarded a boat and floated and crashed our way through the narrow, cold and dark tunnels. Having previously studied dinosaurs, we learnt all about different rock types, formations and fossils. It was great to have the opportunity to see rocks forming underground and we even got to buy some real-life fossils. HERE is a video all about our adventurous day out.
