Letter from the Headmaster

Welcome to the first edition of the Inspire Magazine for the academic year 2018/19. This term has been filled with numerous activities, from high calibre performances to sporting events. We are delighted to capture just a small number of these in this magazine.

In Year 1 and Year 2, the new style roaming Nativity was a spectacular event. The children enjoyed singing and performing together. They sang songs with such confidence and passion in front of large audiences. Parents thoroughly enjoyed the performance and left the School feeling very festive.

Junior Prep have been learning through their inspiring topics. Firstly, in the classrooom then reinforced by visiting local attractions linked to their learning.

Senior School pupils have been extremely busy, not only in class but representing the school in the community too with carol singing, mathematics challenges and sporting fixtures. This has all been achieved whilst our Year 8 pupils have also been preparing for scholarships opportunities and mock examinations.

Congratulations to Bertie H, Olivia N and Max B for securing scholarships at Shrewsbury, Sedbergh and Millfield respectively. In addition, Max D and Joseph K have recently been informed of their 13+ places at Abbey Gate College and The Grange School.

I am very proud of all their achievements.

I would like to thank all of our parent volunteers who have contributed so much time and effort this term. We are so very grateful for all that you do and the support that you give us; you are contributing at the heart of the School community and it is very much appreciated.

Whether you are staying in Cheshire or travelling to visit family and friends further afield, have a wonderful holiday. We look forward to seeing pupils ready for Term 2 on Tuesday 8th January 2019.

Mr. Philip Stewart
